Abstract Submission Guidelines
Authors submitting abstracts for presentation at PrPCANADA 2010 should consider the following in preparation of their abstract content for submission:
1.
Abstracts must describe in a succinct manner the purposes and results of the research so that the quality, originality, and comprehensiveness of the work can be understood.
2.
Each abstract should contain: (a) title; (b) name, affiliation and mailing address of author(s); (c) underline the corresponding author (e-mail address required) who will be presenting the poster; (d) an introductory sentence indicating the purposes of the study; (e) a brief description of research methodology; (f) a summary of the data; and (g) a statement of the conclusions. Authors must accept sole responsibility for the statements in their abstracts.
3.
Follow this example for the format of abstract submissions:

4.
Abbreviations may be used in the body of an abstract if they are defined at their first mention in the text.
5.
The length of the abstract body text should not exceed 400 words.
6.
The accuracy of the submitted abstract is the responsibility of the authors.
7.
Every effort will be made to publish the abstract exactly as submitted. Authors should prepare and proofread their abstracts carefully prior to submission. Errors made on your submitted abstract are likely to appear in print.
8.
All presenting authors must register to attend PrPCANADA 2010 by the registration deadlines.
9.
Authors who submit their abstracts will receive notification of receipt via return e-mail. Notifications will be sent to the presenting author only. If abstract confirmation is not recieved within 48 hours of submission, please call 604-222-3600.
Abstracts must be submitted using the abstract forms available on the conference website and submitted via e-mail. If you do not receive an e-mail reply confirming receipt of your abstract within 48 hours of submission, we do not have your abstract. It is the responsibility of the poster author to ensure that their abstracts are received and processed.
Any highly qualified personnel (i.e.: students, research associates, post-doctoral fellows, etc.) submitting an abstract for oral presentation will be eligible for the Highly Qualified Personnel Oral Presentation Award.
For those of you that are eligible, there is a Student and Post-doctoral Fellow Poster Competition with excellent cash prizes to be won! All posters by highly qualified personnel will automatically be entered into the competition, unless otherwise indicated by the author on submission.
